All Marengo County citizens should be advised that a heat advisory was issued for this area until 7PM today! Be sure you stay cool, don't stay out in the sun too long, and drink PLENTY of water. If you start to feel dizzy, confused, tired, nauseous, and experience excessive sweating, these are some of the symptoms of heat exhaustion, and you should immediately get to a cool, dark location and cool off and drink water and/or Gatorade/Powerade to rehydrate! And as always, if you feel you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911!
The Demopolis City Council recently honored the first responders and EMS workers who performed life-saving measures on Mr. Harris Hurst, a member of the Demopolis City School Board. Three of AmStar EMS’s employees were honored for their heroic actions in saving Mr. Hurst’s life.
